In this section you can find lots of cheats for Outrun (all versions).

Outrun Hints

Best Route

When you get a choice of route, always take the right-hand turn. You'll find the going a lot easier and you'll have more time to complete each stage.

Outrun (Sega Master System/Game Gear)

Sound Test

Press Start; when you see the hand on the radio knob, press Right, Left, Down, Up. Then move your pad to the desired song, and hold it there. To keep your song, press Button 1. If you do not choose a song, you will only hear Wave Sounds, and the game will begin.

Outrun (PC/Amiga/Atari ST)

Various cheats

During play type "RED BARCHETTA" now press any of the following keys for the desired result:

S - to skip to the next level.
T - for an extra 10 seconds.
B - restart the current level.

Type "STARION" while playing the game. Now use the following keys:

B - Extended play.
S - Next screen.
T - Extra 10 seconds.
X - Quit.
D - Save screen in Degas format.
Q - Program info.

These cheats might only work to some degree on the various platforms mentioned.

Outrun (Sega Saturn)

Arcade Mode

To play the original arcade version of this game, wait for the title screen, then press A + C + Start on Controller Two.

Operator Screen

Most arcade games have an operator mode so the arcade owner can change the difficulty, number of credits, etc. This game is no exception. To access it, hold X + Y + Z + Start on Controller One.
